Building On Generations of Success

The Importance of Family

The most significant atttribute of Scott’s business is the involvement of his family. His mother, Gayle, and brother, Shawn, manage the office. His father, Don, supervises all the building activity at all subdivisions, assuring quality control. His brother, Mike, maintains a personal presence at several neighborhoods to ensure that all LPI houses live up to their standards of excellence.

A Passion for Service to the Community

Every year, LPI builds a house for Christian City, a non-profit, non-denominational organization that ministers to the needs of families, with particular emphasis on children and the aged. Scott asks that contractors, suppliers and realtors donate their time and materials towards the project and then donates the profits. A different location in Gwinnett County is selected each year.

LPI recently sponsored a barbeque and invited the local building industry to attend. The event raised $45,000 and the proceeds went to Christian City.

A Vision for the Future

The future for Scott Puckett’s business calls for modest growth. Because he doesn’t want to build “cookie cutter” houses, Scott predicts that annual construction volume will never exceed 250 to 300 homes. In his words, “I want to be able to keep my customers happy and build homes designed for today’s families.”
